"Online sharing Platform for College Students"

DESIGN BRIEF

During college we happen to share things/objects with our friends for example: Camera, bluetooth speaker, audio recorder etc. But all this sharing happens withina small group of friends or known group.  The brief here is to design a platform where this sharing can happen at the Institute level. This platform would help students find the desired product they are looking for, owner of the product would be able to decide with whom he/she wants to share etc.

RESEARCH PART I (MACRO & MICROSYSTEM NID)

OBJECTIVE

To study the Macro-environment (NID as an institute) & Micro-environment (campuses under NID) where the product would work.

To study understand dynamics of the ecosystem, the possible requirements & responses w.r.t. product.

NID SYSTEM ANALYSIS

QUICK POINTERS

  • Around 1051 people in NID student community

  • Staff, Faculty & Administration inclusion would add to the user count even further.

  • Good opportunity for product inventory as the user count is good enough to sustain the product.

  • Initially the product inventory could be less considering the factors like it takes time for people to be aware, associate and spread the word abou the portal. Therefore sub-categories would be included in V2 (Version 2) stage of the product when the inventory count scales up and becomes vast and not V1 (Version 1).

RESEARCH PART II (COMPETITOR STUDY)

RESEARCH PART III (USER STUDY)

OBJECTIVE

To understand the target users of the product through persona making.

Understanding the user (demographics, psychographics, goals, motivations, scenario & use cases) & imparting the learnings in product design.
